WELCOME TO THE SHOULDER SERIES

 

The Shoulder Series trek was inspired by a cross-country cycling journey made by Carolyn Murray and Joani Dahmen in 2013. Tales of the wild outdoors and friendly faces inspired Carolyn and Slater to begin a project of their own: a documented pedal from Santa Barbara, CA to Charleston, SC in May of 2015.

 

The duo felt compelled to detail their travels for their avid followers (okay, okay, mainly for their parents), and thus created The Shoulder Series as a creative outlet for videos, photographs, and journals of their experiences. In sharing their new perspective from the roadside, Slater and Carolyn hope to inspire others to slow down, and take life one pedal at a time.

 

Slater Thompson and Carolyn Murray are students at Gonzaga University, graduating with degrees in Business Administration and Reckless Abandon. While their career paths are currently undecided, they advocate spontaneous travel, a world sin fronteras (look it up), and drinking beer garnished with pickle spears.
